Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Across the landscape of Europe, Germany stands out in terms of its potential for great spiritual impact. Laying central to all of Europe, its economic well-being drives most of the European economy and it’s relatively high number of believers makes it strategic in helping to reach all of Europe. Under the leadership of Momentum Europe staff members, THE DRESDEN INITIATIVE draws strength from God’s presence in helping fulfill the Great Commission by mobilizing business, professional and political leaders from across Germany to help ignite and renew spiritual awakening across Europe and Russia.
The Dresden Initiative is a highly relational ministry desiring to help those from a historically Christian tradition and upbringing, or from a personal faith encounter with Jesus – to be connected to a more deeply rooted faith in the Lord.
At the heart of Momentum Europe, and therefore at the heart of the Dresden Initiative, is the Great Commission – Christ’s last words to his disciples in Matthew 28:18-20. It is Christ commissioning them, and us today, to go into the world and make disciples. This involves sharing the love of Christ with people through both proclamation and demonstration as well as helping true followers of Jesus grow in their ability to reach out to their peers.
Through one on one appointments, small group meetings and larger events, the Dresden Initiative is drawing on the power of the Holy Spirit to help bring new realization and meaning to those who would want to know Jesus more intimately.
