2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
Spiritual Climate:
Moving from a strong Roman Catholic tradition and belief to a more secular outlook in life and practice, many will still claim some connection to the Catholic Church especially for marriages, christenings and burials. However, recent church scandals have caused many to forsake the church and look for God in all the wrong places. In this country known for its Christian heritage, prayer is needed for a fresh moving of the Holy Spirit.
On the Ground:
In the summer of 2016 an American couple, Norm and Sue Patterson moved, to Dublin to help re-launch a ministry to business men and women. Beginning with their local church and leveraging their connection to the Royal Dublin Society (club) they ministered to countless guests, often using Cru’s Family Life materials as door openers. When their visa couldn’t be renewed, they returned to the US and an Irish couple – David and Pam Wilson – continued with a particular emphasis on reaching influential leaders in technology, government, education and the arts.
