Tom Miller, Executive Director Momentum Europe Linda Miller, Prayer Coordinator Momentum Europe Orlando, Florida In 1977 the Lord put Europe on our heart. We served their briefly in 1978 on our way to Africa, and then 13 years later we moved back to Europe – this time with four kids – to work as part of Cru’s International Vice-Presidents team. Along the way, we had a wide variety of ministry experiences, so that when we were invited to help launch Momentum Europe in 2005 it seemed like an opportunity that the Lord had been preparing for us, for nearly 30 years. We love the opportunity to help connect people to the Great Commission and Momentum Europe is a great way to do that. |

Ron and Betsy Martin, Momentum Europe Board Member CEO Mission Federal Credit Union(Retired) Durango, Colorado Like many others, our connection with Europe begins with family. Ron’s mother immigrated to the US from Germany as a young girl in the early 1920’s. Stories of post WW I life communicated through my mother and German speaking grandmother left colorful, dramatic and lasting impressions of this foreign land. Fascination for a land, however, became a love for the German people when personal faith in Christ transformed my world view. Today the life-changing message of freedom proclaimed by Martin Luther and other Christian reformers has largely been exchanged for ‘religions’ as much of the European continent has moved to a post-modern rejection of the gospel truth. Momentum Europe introduced Betsy and I to a network of like-minded individuals with the desire to see God’s spirit ignite culturally-relevant spiritual movements within Europe and Russia. With the backdrop of social unrest and economic turmoil that dominates today’s news, many European citizens are showing new hunger for a meaningful personal encounter with a loving God. Being involved with the front lines of Momentum Europe reinforces for us the love of God is inseparable from the love of neighbor (here or abroad). Because I believe God first and foremost calls us to relationship, when George and Linda Selden said they were now working in ME and asked me to come along, I did. Since that time I have traveled with ME and have been able to meet staff throughout Europe. They have captured my heart; as well as encouraging and inspiring my involvement. |
